Howth, Co. Dublin
Alright, time for another installment of Tourist Tuesdays! I had a friend who wanted to go to Howth also, so we took the DART from city center to go exploring.
We bought a ticket for Howth DART station (rather than Howth Junction), and took the roughly one hour train ride to the little peninsula above Dublin harbor. We walked to the Cliff Walk little hike, and preceded to hike the route until the summit, where we headed back to the paved roads. By that time, we were feeling quite peckish and went back near the DART station to grab lunch. Most of the eateries are fish and seafood, but we were looking for some vegan grub and eventually ended up a Grass Roots. Honestly, had such a good falafel, because it features red onion marmalade, which 10/10 highly recommend on maybe every food.
Anyway, if we're being honest, my friend and I went there for views and Howth did not disappoint. Overall, I think it's a really nice area to escape the city for a bit, and see some beautiful cliffs without going all the way to west Ireland. Also, a lot of the food smelled good, and we bought a couple pints a Guinness for only 4 euro, which is always nice.
